Welcome to the brand new High School Recycling Challenge; a chance for you to help us spread the word about recycling and win some great prizes in the process. It’s an important message to get across but that doesn’t mean we can’t all have some fun doing it.
Our challenge is simple, we need to raise recycling awareness in Hyndburn households by getting more residents to visit the High School Challenge website. To achieve this, we need the pupils of the Hyndburn High Schools to direct them there. To encourage the pupils, the schools and the householders to take part we’ve got some incredible incentives to give away!
Pupils…
In order to promote the website, we’re providing each pupil with a book of vouchers. Each book has a unique number which the pupil will register in their name, and each voucher has its own unique number.
Every pupil who sends three visitors to the website will win a cool carabiner. When pupils have five vouchers activated they will gain their first entry to a prize draw to win one of two Nintendo Wiis at their school. Every activated voucher exceeding five will also constitute one more entry into the draw.
The pupil at each school who gets the most households to visit the website and register their voucher number will be awarded the choice between an amazing Apple iPod Touch or a Nintendo Wii games console.
Schools…
We are rewarding each High School that takes part in the scheme. We’ve set each school a minimum target of website visitors, and when they meet that target they’ll receive a brand new Yamaha Keyboard.
But that’s not all. The highest-performing school from the six Hyndburn High Schools will win a cash prize of £2,000, with £1,000 for second place, and £500 for third.
Householders…
To encourage householders to visit our website and use the voucher the pupils have given them, there are over 1,000 prizes up for grabs:
The winning numbers have already been randomly chosen by an independent adjudicator, and we’ll inform the lucky winners by return email.
Of course, the incentive for us all is to make our local environment a cleaner, greener place to live, both now and in the future.
The campaign runs until the end of January 2008.
