In addition, most household waste including batteries, oil, rubble and wood can be recycled at the Household Waste Recycling Centres located at Whinney Hill Landfill Site, Accrington and Alan Ramsbottom Way , Great Harwood. These sites are open 8.00am to 7.00pm every day except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.
