Over 70% of your domestic waste can be recycled through the kerbside collection service
Waste collections in Hyndburn alternate weekly, with recyclable waste collected one week and non-recyclable waste the same day the following week. In 2006/7 residents recycled over 30% of the waste they produced, but we still need to do better.
Hyndburn, like all other councils has been set tough recycling targets. By 2010 we have to recycle over 45% of domestic waste; or residents could face financial penalties of £150 for every tonne sent to landfill. So please help keep your council tax down by recycling your waste.
